![]() The player can buy a completely new car from the dealership, a used one from a local shop where they were already customized or even totaled, or build the car from scratch with a chassis. ![]() During the night, players can either participate in a drag race against another driver or watch the race.Ī unique feature of the game is its detailed level of customization for the vehicles. Players have to race others on the streets during the day for prestige (respect) or money to customize the car. The plot of the game is to beat every club and accomplish the requirements to enter the Race of Champions, a prestigious racing competition where one can win a bonus car. ![]() I sincerely do.The game takes place in Valo City (possibly a play on the word " velocity"), a metropolis known for its vast underworld of illegal street racing. Hopefully, GT6 and Forza 5 continue to build on this but i'm also hoping to see a comeback in other racing games. It looks like Codemasters (while not comprehensive) is trying to bring that back by finally featuring mods in GRID 2. It's very sad to see this happening when these kind of features undoubtedly enhance a game's appeal, gives it legs. A great mix of performance upgrades, tuning parameters and visual customization. Forza at the moment is king when it comes to this stuff. While GT offers a good range of mods, it still lacks so much compared to Forza. The only games pretty much left that cater to the grease monkeys is Forza and GT. NFS HP, The Run and Most Wanted.the same. GRID didn't feature anything substantial at all. Unfortunately though, games of this nature started to die out. Tune ECU's and gear ratios, handling and brakes. All sorts of stuff like tubo upgrades, exhausts, paint, wheels, bodykits.etc, NFS UG2 even featured the best simulated dyno ever seen! Plenty of games featured this such as NFS Underground, Pro Street, Most Wanted.etc, SRS, Sega GT, SHIFT, GT, Forza just to name a few. I can spend hours and hours tinkering with my car. I do that stuff in the real world whenever I can. ![]() I'm also an upgrades, customization and tuning nut. ![]()
